  5. Cheese (fresh mozzarella, goat cheese, parmesan)
  6. Other toppings (mushrooms, etc.)

Steps to make to make Basic But Tasty Thin Crust Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 425 or whatever the crust packaging says. I have a pizza stone so I bump it up to 430 with the stone in the whole time.
  2. Slice cheese (mozzarella and goat cheese here) and toppings into desired sizes so that you can easily cover the pizza with them later. My wife loves cheese but otherwise you might want to slice the mozzarella (shown in the middle) a bit thinner than I did here.
  3. Brush olive oil on bottom of crust and remove most of it by patting it with a paper towel.
  4. Brush olive oil on top of crust. Sprinkle seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, cajun seasoning, etc.) all around the crust (even to the edge), and use a spoon to spread them evenly. Remove excess oil by patting again.
  5. Drop tomato sauce onto the middle of the crust, then spread it around with a spoon while leaving space on the edge so you can hold the slices.
  6. Evenly distribute cheese and toppings on top of the sauce.
  7. Grate parmesan over the entire pizza (including the crust) and fill in the gaps where the tomato sauce peeks out.
  8. Bake pizza for 10 minutes or however long the crust packaging says. Again, with the pizza stone I've settled on 10 and a half minutes as my time for this recipe.
  9. Remove from oven and let sit for 3-5 minutes before slicing so that the hot cheese doesn't get dragged around by the pizza cutter.
  10. Slice, season (I like oregano and red pepper but it's obviously up to you), serve, and savor!
